Isotretinoin is a retinoid — a vitamin A derivative — and not a hormone of any description. It suppresses sebaceous gland output and changes how cells lining the follicle keratinise, which is why dermatology reaches for it in severe and treatment-resistant acne.
Zenlabs put 10 mg in each soft capsule and ten capsules in a strip. This is the lower of the two Tretizen strengths. The capsules are swallowed whole, and the molecule being fat-soluble, absorption is poor on an empty stomach.
