Oxymetholone reached the market in 1961 as a treatment for anaemias caused by deficient red cell production, and that is still its formal indication where it remains licensed. Structurally it is a dihydrotestosterone derivative carrying a 2-hydroxymethylene group, alkylated at carbon 17 for oral use.
Eminence Labs presses it at the classical strength of 50 mg per tablet with fifty tablets to the box. Despite its DHT parentage the compound has oestrogenic activity of its own, exerted on the receptor directly without any aromatase involvement, so it is not treated as a dry oral.
